“I purchased Pullets from this gentleman and his granddaughter a couple weeks ago. I already had one Buff Orpington pullet and was concerned about adding new Pullets to my coop based on what I had read online. I bought 2 Lavender Orpington and 2 Barred Rocks. He assured me there would be no problem. He was right. A very smooth transition and they bonded well immediately. His Pullets were very calm while taking them home and their personalities are wonderful. He was a wealth of information as this is my first time owning chickens. Everything he has told me has been right on and I’ve contacted him since my purchases and he has been so kind in helping me know what quality products to have for my coop and the Pullets. I highly recommend this gentleman and his farm. His property where he raises them is immaculate and absolutely stunning. You will not be disappointed in purchasing chickens from him.”

Whether you’re just starting out or you’re wanting additional chickens, there is a vast range of breeds available! The chicken runs are always clean, the chicks are fed a balanced diet and they have plenty of space to walk around and perch too. It doesn’t take long to figure out that the chickens as well as all the animals on the Manor are very loved! Tony is not only very caring but he is wonderful to talk with and is so helpful. “This is Evelyn and I just want to tell everyone that Tony has the most wonderful little granddaughter who works on the farm on the weekends. When we showed up, she met us and walked us down to her barn. She told me that she and her pappa are going to start sleeping in the barn. You could see the excitement in her eyes. She picked out our chickens and told us what names we should use. Only if more of the world had more places like this farm and their people. I have gone back several times just to wild around and to hopefully see the most precious little farmer girl I have ever met.”

“Where to start. This is the most amazing 10 acres in Oklahoma. We rented Checkmate Country Manor’s dock and outdoor kitchen by the pond for my son’s birthday. It was one of the best times my family has ever had. We rented it for 4 hours but Tony let us stay an additional two hours at no charge. You have to see it to believe it. The pond the river the animals are a perfect combination for an amazing time. We will be repeat customers and have been invited by on the weekends just to walk around and enjoy the amazing property.”

We rented this farm for our daughter’s Quinceañera. It was amazing and no one expected it to be as nice as it was. The animals and the 1000s of flowers made it like heaven. “My name is Ray and I can’t say enough about this property. I took my grandson out for the first time this year to look at chickens. It was just a few days from his birthday. When we found out that you could stay on the farm, my grandson asked if we could camp there for his birthday. We were made to feel so welcome. We brought a tent and the owner let us use the outdoor kitchen to cook dinner and breakfast down by the pond. We enjoyed it so much that we have now done it three times. We plan to do it more in the future.”

Every time we come we see something new and wonderful. Tony is so accommodating with his time. You can just tell that this place is his passion. “I was so glad to talk about Mr Mussatto and his farm. I am a single mom with an autistic child. I learned about this place from my best friend who buys his chickens. My son loves animals so I asked if we could come out to take some pictures. Mr Mussatto said he would love to have us. When we came out he stopped doing what he was doing and allowed my son to pet all of his animals and feed all his animals. He said we have an open invitation and I know when it warms up some, my sons and I will be coming back.”

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one needed to be written! Checkmate Country Manor is a great place to buy chickens and visit. What a nice chicken farm—friendly folks, healthy birds, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality poultry and eggs
